For the modern mentalist, here are forty varied presentations. They cover most phases of magic of the mind, include some new effects introducing new methods, other new methods for popular effects, and still other new mysteries from standard techniques.

Almost all are for a one man mental act, making use of legitimate spectators. Most are suitable for the club, platform or stage, but just as suitable for home and party use. Since close up mentalism has been brilliantly covered by the late Ted Annemann and others of his school, we have purposely left out the card tricks, pocket mental items, nail writers, etc. Instead, there are big scale presentations for such tricks, to give you a chance at. mentalism for a larger audience.

Many performers who have progressed thru magic from their first Mysto Set to illusions finally settled on mentalism as the most "grown up" aspect of magic (as Annemann termed it). Others came upon mental magic almost at once and stayed with it, because it is very rewarding. Today (1969) more than ever, the world is finding that man's mind has a magic all of its own, and extra sensory powers are a matter of interest whenever displayed. Our newspapers and magazines are continually giving space to stories on these subjects, and the alert performer cannot do better than use tricks which reflect the trend of the daily press. And when we discover that man's mind has a magic of its own which often surpasses a magician's representation of it, we discover the real charm and challenge of mental magic.
