Michel W.Potts – Straddlevarious

In the seventh installment of Michel Potts’ card magic series, he offers six more commercial effects – all well routined with the kind of engaging storylines that you’ve come to expect from him. Michel is a working pro in Bangkok, Thailand, who performs for some of the toughest audiences any magician can face. So you know his material WILL “go over!” Like many magicians, Michel avoided the Faro Shuffle for most of his career, at least when working for paying customers. However, all that changed when he learned the Straddle Faro which is much easier to do. He even gives you some helpful preparation tips that make the shuffle even more surefire. Robstown Hustle
A gambling expose demonstrating the multiple techniques of card cheats in the game of Five Card Draw that seamlessly segues into a round of Texas Hold ‘Em in which, without any apparent cheating, a designated spectator receives the winning hand.

Totally Screwed Again
A spectator mentally selects a card and shuffles it into the deck, leaving the performer clueless as to where it could possibly be. Nevertheless, without pumping or even touching the deck, the performer correctly names the spectator’s card.

Rellet Reduxed
After the cards are shuffled and cut, a group of spectators participate in a paranormal exercise to divine the identity of the card that the performer has in mind.

Vaticination (featuring the QV III False Cut)
From a deck shuffled and cut by a spectator, a prediction based on that spectator’s psychological responses determines his personal card. A subsequent test of his own personality traits uncannily reveals the mate to his personal card.

Orthography (featuring the Cardinal Force)
A sealed envelope containing a premonition from days before is displayed. The cards are shuffled and cut. First, a spectator spells to a card. The cards are shuffled and cut again. Then another spectator choses any number up to 52 and takes a card at his number. The cards miraculously match, as foretold by the premonition.

Celebrity by Proxy
A variation of the Baby Gag effect with no gimmicked deck, no switches, no sleights, no gaffed cards and no prepared envelopes. You can even repeat the effect as many times as you want and the revelation will always be different.
